Mr. Zhang Yurui is the member of Copyright Law Committee of the 10th Session Beijing Lawyers Association, China Law Association on Science and Technology，China IP Law Association, China Intellectual Property Society.  Mr. Zhang has participated in the handling and discussion of many high-profile and complicated IP cases covering patent, copyright, trademark, anti-unfair competition, etc. He has great prestige in China with in-depth practical and theoretical study of copyright and trade secret. 

As a Hengdu expert, Mr. Zhang handled numerous difficult cases in IP and Commercial Litigation to serve the best interests of his clients.

Mr. Zhang got rulings in favor of his clients in the following IP cases, many of which are first-of-its-kind cases:

• Yikang Enterprise Trade Secret Case, the earliest trade secrets criminal case in Beijing;

• National Print Works vs. Mr. Fan Trade Secret Case, (represented defendant and the court found there is no infringement);

• Taiwan Deer Brand vs. Avery Dennison，trade secret case amount RMB 100 million;

• a SOE vs. Rio Tinto Group, trade secret case.  Ministry of Science issued a report identifying the core issues in this case, Mr. Zhang's opinions were quoted in the report;

• Peking University Founder Group Co., Ltd. v. P&G (Guangzhou) Co., Ltd. for copyright infringement, Mr. Zhang argued on behalf of P&G that single character is not a piece of artwork, and finally won in the second instance;

• Genyou Ye v. KFC (Wuxi, Jiangsu) for copyright infringement, Mr. Zhang argued for KFC that the use of character styles available for free in the fontlib is not an infringement of copyright, finally won in the second instance.
  

Mr. Zhang has published many important works on trade secret, including the Pursuit of Truth---Trade Secret Litigation Dispute (《追求真相——商業(yè)秘密訴訟論爭(zhēng)》), Trade Secret and Commercial Bribery (《商業(yè)秘密與商業(yè)賄賂》), Internet-related IP---Litigation and Law (《互聯(lián)網(wǎng)上知識(shí)產(chǎn)權(quán)——訴訟與法律》),  Legal Protection of Commercial Secret (《商業(yè)秘密的法律保護(hù)》), 200 Problems on the Application and Protection of Trade Secret (《商業(yè)秘密的運(yùn)用和保護(hù)200題》), Analysis of Legal Precedents of the People’s Republic of China (《中華人民共和國(guó)判例分析全書》), Patent Law and Practice(《專利法與專利實(shí)踐》), etc.

His most authoritative book Law of Trade Secret (《商業(yè)秘密法學(xué)》）is still a textbook for judges to study relevant issues and cases.
